Vending Company Staff Run BUPA Great South Run

Vending company staff from SnackTime took part in the BUPA Great South Run completing the 10mile run in aid of charity. Helen Taylor, responsible for the marketing in the snack and hot drink vending machine company, and Blair Jenkins, SnackTime CEO, ran the race.

The SnackTime staff decided to run the race for fitness and in aid of a local charity. Helen Taylor completed the course in 1hr 45 mins and commented 'Being surrounded by chocolates, crisps and delicious hot drinks at work every day in our vending machines can be tempting! The mochas in our coffee vending machines are delicious and are my special daily treat. Therefore, keeping fit is very important to me. It was my first time running the race and the atmosphere meant that I really enjoyed it - if you can say that about running 10 miles!'

Blair Jenkins, CEO, who established the UK's third largest vending machine company, took 1hr 34 minutes to complete the course. He said 'The last 2 miles were very tough. We had strong winds and driving rain along the seafront. I certainly enjoyed my warming coffee after the race!'

Both runners sampled some GSK products which have recently been introduced into the SnackTime range. These included Lucozade Sports chilled drinks which are now available in SnackTime's drink vending machines and can vending machines across the country.

The charity they ran for was Waverley School in Wokingham to raise money for outdoor play equipment.
